Always Do Your Best 4 Agreements

Always Do Your Best 4 Agreements

The Master replied: „If you can do your best in two hours of meditation, but you spend eight hours instead, you get tired, you lose the point and you will not enjoy your life. Do your best, and you may learn that no matter how long you meditate, you can live, love and be happy.┬áToday, I will do my best not to assume that I know what others are thinking or feeling. Thank you very much for this exercise. Over the past month, I have read your speech, then the corresponding chapter, and then their contribution again. I`ve learned so much. I also love the chapter on the road to freedom, and I keep thinking about the need to be conscious and to have discipline. No discipline to be perfect or do the right thing, or to be tough or whatever, but „the discipline of being ourselves, no matter what.“ It`s really good, because for me, I want to be myself and have enough! And yet, I`ve always been so afraid of disappointing someone or being rejected, or all those other things, so I try to control how others see me all the time. And it`s exhausting and painful, and I don`t want to live like that. The novelty I`m saying to myself is simply, „I`ll be myself.“ The author personally defines „giving the best of himself“ as ritual and honor of God. He feels that God is life in action, and the best way to honor God, love and thank God is to do your best. (In short: of course, everyone will have their own inspiration and their own definition of doing their best.) Doing your best is not about being perfect. You will make mistakes, but it does not matter.

You learn from your mistakes, keep practicing and you look at your results honestly. Doing your best helps you feel good. Ruiz explains it forcefully: „If you try to do more than do your best, you will expend more energy than it takes, and in the end, your best will not be enough. If you overdose, you exhaust your body and go against yourself, and it will take longer to reach your goal. But if you do less than your best, you submit to frustrations, judgments, guilt and regret.┬áThe fourth agreement gives readers a better understanding of the progress made in achieving their goals in life. This agreement involves the integration of the first three agreements into daily life and the exploitation of its own potential. [8] It is a matter of doing the best that can be managed individually, which varies from the different situations and circumstances that the individual may encounter.
